Two central strategic moves played a crucial role in the success of this account. Firstly, shortly after we started our engagement, the Coronavirus pandemic shook the world economies. In the face of uncertainty and a temporary drop in demand for the products, we strongly considered pulling back spend and taking a more conservative approach until the pandemic passed (which we soon found out would take much longer than anticipated). However, on closer inspection, we noticed that CPC's were dramatically decreasing on many of our main keywords. This signaled to us that many of the competitors were dropping out of the of the ad auctions which would potentially open a huge opportunity to take some market share which is especially critical for a startup. We raised bids, increased budgets, and pushed forward. Fortunately, our bold moves paid off with the increase in revenue you see above. With all of this extra exposure, the product has also garnered over 300 new reviews.

The second main factor in the growth of this account has been due to our taking advantage of Sponsored Brands Video ads. We noticed early on that there were zero competitors advertising using video, so we launched a few of our own. To this day, our video ads are the best performing and highest volume campaigns this account has ever seen. On top of that, there are still no competitors taking advantage of video ads!
